Five flowers I used in a Tim Burton inspired wedding

Dreaming of a darker, moodier and unconventional wedding? These are the flowers I included in a Tim Burton inspired wedding bouquet.

1. Black Calla Lilies

Sleek, sculptural, and unmistakably dramatic. Black callas instantly bring a gothic elegance to any bouquet or arrangement. It’s almost impossible to get a true black flower, but these deep, velvety callas are the closest you’ll get to black.

2. Purple Eustoma

Also known as lisianthus, this flower brings a touch of softness to a bouquet, whilst still keeping within a moody palette. Their ruffled petals bring a romantic feel that balances the darker elements.

3. Vanda Orchids

Bold and exotic, these vanda orchids are a statement flower amongst any bouquet. Their vibrant purple tones and intricate patterning add intensity and a slightly surreal, otherworldly quality.

4. White Amaranthus

Amaranthus brings movement and drama. It’s either cascading or upright, but it always adds an untamed, almost haunted garden effect often seen in Tim Burton aesthetics. They’re a fresh flower that has the spookiness of a dried flower. Exactly the type of flowers Sally would carry to her wedding to Jack.

5. Ligustrum Libelle

Ligustrum Libelle introduces texture and contrast with its delicate branching structure and dark, almost black berries. It gives bouquets a wild, but opulent feel that ties the whole gothic look together.
