Weddings 2026: Ins and outs

We have a lot of opinions about wedding flowers around here. We don’t follow trends and we’re all about working with couples that want flowers that truly reflect their personalities.

What’s ‘in’ for Rook Botanics this year?

Lots of colour!

Tell us your favourite colours. What colours did you beg to have your bedroom walls painted as a kid? Let’s incorporate them into your wedding! Colour is so personal and carries a lot of meaning, it should be a part of your wedding day.

Creating a day that matches the couple’s personality

During the planning process you’ll have a call with Sarah. You’ll also fill in a wedding questionnaire. This is your opportunity to share as much as you want. Tell us your favourite book, your favourite niche hobby, what lights you up. These things are important. Your wedding day should be a proper celebration of your lives and your love.

Bouquets for all, regardless of gender

Everyone should carry bouquets! Flowers are beautiful and fun, everyone should have them. When you’re feeling a little nervous before your vows it’s good to have something to occupy your hands as well.

Flowers. In. Your. Hair.

We’re obsessed with flower crowns around here. The most extravagant the better IMO. But ever just a single flower nestled into your hair do makes us happy.

What’s ‘out’ for Rook Botanics this year?

Playing it safe

Planning a wedding is hard. You will get decision fatigue. Everyone will want to share their thoughts and opinions with you. Find suppliers that want to get to know you and that aren’t afraid of taking chances.

Uninspiring buttonholes

There’s so many options out there! During the planning process Sarah can send you various different options if you’d like to try something bold or different. We can sketch out some options for you. It’s your wedding day, you can get away with anything.

Beige, blush, boring blooms

Just because you’re getting married it doesn’t mean you have to confirm to the mainstream. Enough said.

Gyp

Sorry, not sorry! If it’s your favourite flower, we don’t judge you. But around here, we do not love it!

Couples being persuaded by dull relatives to make dull decisions

Lots of relatives will have lots of opinions. Start tuning them out. They probably just want the best for you, but only you and your beloved know what are the right decisions to make for your wedding day.
